In 2022, Hohou Te Rongo Kahukura responded to calls from Takatāpui and Rainbow elders that they felt invisible and were worried about how well they would be treated as they got older. Working in collaboration with Rainbow Hub Waikato, we heard from:
    • 424 Takatāpui and Rainbow elders via online survey
    • 17 Māori, Pasifika and ethnic people via six focus groups
    • 11 Takatāpui and Rainbow elders via in-depth interviews
Ageing with Pride Aotearoa keeps up our focus on uplifting Takatāpui and Rainbow elder voices and builds on that project. We have been funded by Office of Seniors and are able to bring this to you for free because of this funding. We hope you like it
Hohou Te Rongo Kahukura is grateful for the help of many reviewers, including Takatāpui and Rainbow older people, people working with older people in a variety of different social services, and Takatāpui and Rainbow older people working with older people.
